No-insolvency certificate: how to obtain one
Before contracting with a company, you often want proof that it is not under insolvency proceedings. Here are the official, free sources and how to check in seconds.
Is there an official “certificate”?
The commercial court registry issues a debt-status certificate (or non-registration of liens) showing the absence of proceedings and registrations. It can be requested on Infogreffe (paid, depending on the document).
For a simple check, several free sources are enough — see below.
Step by step
- Check the BODACC (official publication of insolvency proceedings) by SIREN or company name on data.gouv.fr or bodacc.fr.
- Check the company’s Kbis extract: an ongoing procedure is mentioned there.
- On Solvenda, open the SIREN company page: it shows “no known procedure” or the list of procedures published in the BODACC — free and instant.
- For enforceable proof, request the debt-status certificate from the registry.

Frequently asked questions
Is the BODACC check free?
Yes. The BODACC is published by DILA under an Open Licence: consultation is free. Only certain registry certificates are paid.
Does the absence of a procedure guarantee solvency?
No. It only proves no insolvency procedure is published to date. Ongoing monitoring (by SIREN) is still needed.
Solvenda watches for you, every morning.
Solvenda monitors the BODACC by SIREN across your whole client portfolio and counts down the two-month claim deadline.
